The New Obama Administration: A Total Mockery of Change

This is the same old song and dance for many of them. It’s just another rung up the ladder of politics. How is this supposed to change?

“There’s Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, of course, the former first lady now on track to become secretary of state. And Rep. Rahm Emanuel, the former Bill Clinton aide who will be Obama’s chief of staff. And Eric H, Holder Jr., once deputy to the former Atty. Gen. Janet Reno and now Obama’s likely pick for attorney general. ” – Los Angeles Times “So far, it’s in with the old

We are in a serious crisis- one that could cause major damage for the generations that are going to have to deal with. A group of baby boomers only have a short time left and won’t they see the consequences of their actions.

Wise up people. How can our President-elect deliver “change” if he has the same recycled drones from Clinton administrations past? The same administration that rewards people like Mark Rich for evading the IRS and the US government and the same administration that let Bin Laden walk away to fight another day. Yes they were mistakes but if he expects to have real change- Mistakes cannot be tolerated. We are already dealing with mistakes of big businesses, financial institutions, and congressional mistakes from several administrations. These mistakes need serious people who can get the job done.

Bush has stepped down for the most part. Other then signing the bill extending Job Benefits to the unemployed Bush has taken himself out the governing arena. Barrack better step up and do it now. The world can’t sit and work this out on it’s own. He spoke of change and so far I have seen anything other then the same old, same old. If that’s what the country needed we would watch the re-runs of CSPAN.

Would you like some Corruption with your Coffee this morning?

So we’ve got some interesting people running our public services and city councils who are getting busted all over the nation.

First we go to Boston, where the FBI arrested City Councilor Chuck Turner for taking a $1,000 bride. The pictures of the event are pretty bad. But to make matters worse this is the second person to get caught with their hand in the cookie jar in Boston. Sen. Dianne Wilkerson was also indicted on a bribery charge of her own. Apparently the two were both caught taking money trying to get the same club a liquor license. Apparently, both of them never realized that candid camera was the FBI’s style now.

The second one deals with the transit systems in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, Oregon, California, New Jersey, Missouri, Chicago and metropolitan Washington. They are now under fire and feeling pressed for cash. Even though ridership is at an all time high these railways have been doing some shady business. Apparently they found a tax shelter a few years ago due to a loophole in tax law. These railways leased their cars to banks and then banks were able to then take the depreciation of these cars and split the tax break between the banks and the rail organizations. After Uncle Sam found out about the tax shelters the banks where then not able to claim the cars but AIG was able to buy the cars and lease them back under the old agreements. The snag is that AIG now wants to sell off the property considering their current predicament. The metro organizations have to find ways to come up with around 400 million and are now appealing to congress for these funds.

Seems like between corrupt politicians, broke American car makers, public transportation that have no cars and collapsing assets in American banks these handouts from the government are going to be getting more and more costly- and only the taxpayers are getting screwed.

Need Money? Just Call George Soros!

-Phone rings-
George Soros: Hello?
Al Fraken: Hey George. It’s Al. Just thought I would update you on what’s going on over here. And you know I could use some more money. I hope I’m not putting you out by asking?!
George: Oh Al. No worries I just talked to Al Gore. We were thinking of throwing you a dinner party. How’s Thursday in New York sound?
Al: Oh that’s great! I can totally make that. But George could I maybe get an advance on that. You see these recounts- Apparently I have to pay the lawyers for watching these people look at this guy named Chad. I haven’t met the guy but he sounds pretty confusing.
George: sigh that’s a hanging Chad, you know like in 2000?

At the moment the count stands with Coleman having a 215-vote lead over Franken. But as Minnesota law states that if an election margin falls below 0.5% there has to be a recount. So now the lawyers have been drawn on the three counties that hold the best numbers to recount and could decide the election. Hennepin, Ramsey and St. Louis counties have the ability to really mess with the numbers in the senate if Coleman wins the seat over Franken.

If you haven’t heard the Democrats need 60 seats to be able to pass most legislation and to break filibusters with no resistance at all. But in order to get those two seats they have win in Minnesota and the run-off election in Georgia on December 2nd. So with the help of George Soros whose main goal aside from getting George W. Bush out of office is to legalize Euthanasia, decriminalize and liberalize drugs, and is currently dumping large sums of money into funding many foreign causes.

Now what’s the connection between George Soros and Al Fraken? Money. Soros has been funding Franken and other Democrats through his Democracy Alliance group. And to top it all of Soros has invited Al Gore to help him host a Dinner for Franken’s recount efforts. But I’m sure it’ll be a fair, clean recount even though Franken has 2,100 volunteers assisting him which a sizable amount are attorneys.

Mr. Trebek, I’ll take Lieberman for a Thousand.

That’s right. Currently the Democrats are bidding for Connecticut senator’s vote. But from the line that Lieberman said at the press conference “I appreciate their respect for my independence of mind,” it’s going to be a hard sell. As of right now Lieberman still holds two seats one on the Committee on Homeland Security and the other on Governmental Affairs. The Democratic Caucus did remove him from two other committees. Even though the Democrats have a majority of the senate they don’t have enough to have a majority vote pass on just on the Democrats alone. Thus the need for someone who as Lieberman put it “a member in good standing” even if in the last election he wasn’t elected as a member of that party.

Here is the video and judge for yourself. It might take more then just allowing him to have two seats to buy him back on the Obama Band Wagon.

And with Three Strikes You’re OUT!

And we are going into extra innings with the bill being proposed by Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid. If you haven’t noticed the Big Three are on a massive PR campaign- the radio, newspapers, the Internet editions of news networks and the television are inundating the public with the appeals of the Big Three automakers for government funds to bail them out of their companies’ crisis.

Currently the bank bail out is now up to $158.56 billion according to an article on CNNMoney.com. With the national deficit climbing with the bailout proposal adding the amounted needed to bailout the Big Three, it would put the American people in far worse pickle then they are already in.

People are losing their homes, their jobs, and unemployment is going to rise no matter if the Big Three are bailed out or not. Also with the PR campaign, the Big Three are putting out there they are inflating the amount of jobs they will effect if they fail. The study that they are citing says that 1 in 10 jobs are a part of the Auto industry. According to the New York Times,
“The study concludes that “new vehicle production, sales, and other jobs related to the use of automobiles are responsible for 1 out of every 10 jobs in the U.S economy.” The term “responsible for” is interpreted quite broadly, and covers jobs in steel, glass and electronics (the so-called “upstream” jobs) as well as those in taxi-driving, travel and advertising companies (”downstream” jobs), among others.”
If we were to follow the logic proposed by the Big Three we would have to assume that these industries only make car parts for the Big Three and only buy Big Three automobiles. Now that may be the case but many car parts can be used in several different makes and models and not every car in America is a GM, Ford or Chrysler. So the assumption that these jobs are only provided by only the Big Three is just that- an assumption. Once again the old saying… “Assuming makes an ass out of you and me” comes to mind.

So to the Big Three… Congratulations, you might want to throw yourself a going out of business or bankruptcy sale party.

Welcome to the Silent Majority

Americans have always been able to take pride in what has been built around them by their generation or past generations. I know I am not alone when I look out on this country and feel dissatisfaction and sadness at the state we have entered. The nation has been in more then just an economic crisis but one of something deeper and much more disheartening for those who truly love this country and what it stands for-- not only to it’s citizens but those around the world.

We’ve defended the weak, the poor and welcomed them to our shores and helped them build lives through hard work and passion for a life that they could take pride in. We’ve lead by example to preserve life, liberty and happiness not because it was easy but because it was right. We forged a government from rebellion that promoted free speech and the independent heart. We have broken bonds of oppression with American blood and time and again defended those who cannot defend themselves.

Others and myself are tired of watching this phenomenon that’s spreading across the country life a wild fire. The point of this is to get the message out to those who hold power in this country and to the citizens who are like us tired of being silent. Nixon said once that there was a Silent majority in the country- one that watched their televisions and reading the news waiting for action. That majority still exists and I, the messenger of that silent majority, am now bringing their message.
